Welcome to For Mutt’s Sake Dog Grooming.
Situated just outside Youghal town is our purpose built dog grooming salon. Plenty of free parking available.
The welfare of the dogs is my first priority and every dog is treated in a gentle manner so that the groom is a pleasurable experience.
Puppies are given extra time to help desensitize them to the different grooming procedures. The sounds and sensations of the dryer, clippers and scissors can sometimes be frightening for dogs that haven’t experienced them before. That’s why it’s important not to overwhelm them, and to take things at a pace that is comfortable for the dog.
Older dogs get the OAD treatment (old age dog)
The older dog is given more time and patience as it takes them longer to move and settle in. They are treated to a longer massage during shampooing and are given plenty breaks during the session to sit or lie down. We go at the dogs pace and always make sure they are comfortable and as relaxed as possible.
The salon is open since January 2016, but Sinead has been grooming since 2013.
